Set-up for ex vivo experiments. A. Apical cranium with the trepanned parietal bone shown in longitudinal section placed in the glass well. The well was filled with SIF and the cranium with SIF followed by CGRP solutions. At periods of 5 and 15 min both solutions were removed and analysed for CGRP content.
