The x-axis represents the time (h) from intrathecal (i.t.) injection of vehicle or TGF-β1 (5 ng), and the y-axis represents the percentage of the maximum possible effect (%MPE) for anti-hyperalgesia. TGF-β1 significantly attenuated CCI-induced thermal hyperalgesia in rats at 14 d post-surgery. Each point shows the mean ± standard error of the mean (SEM) from six rats per group. *P < 0.05 compared to the CCI plus vehicle group at the same time points
