Median (IQR) differences in scores for depression (a) and nonspecific physical symptoms (NSPhS) (b) in 40 patients with myofascial temporomandibular disorders before (baseline) and after repeated intramuscular tender-point injections with granisetron (GRA-group) or control substance (isotonic saline; CTR-group). Depression-scores are classified as normal (<0.535), moderate (0.535-1.105) and severe (>1.105), and the NSPhS-scores are classified as normal (<0.5), moderate (0.5-1) and severe (>1). There were no significant differences between groups in depression- or in NSPhS-scores at baseline. *Significant difference compared to baseline (Friedman-test with Dunn’s post-hoc test; P < 0.05)
