Background luminance: 82 cd/m2. The figure shows the two alternative image orientations (leftward tilt/rightward tilt). The figures illustrate only the central portion of the screen (width: ±23.9 deg, height: ±14 deg). Outside of this window, the luminance was constant and equal to the background luminance
